A little more wedding

We had a great day at the Sunshine Coast Wedding Expo. It was lovely to meet so many people, we hope they enjoyed their sample box.

 Just a few more recent wedding cakes, while we are on the topic...

A lovely tall rich fruit cake soaked in plenty of French brandy, decorated with white fondant icing and a fresh flower arrangement.

A three tiered wedding cake with layers of moist carrot cake and delicious lemon tea cake, all iced in a fresh citrus cream cheese icing.


A three tiered Lindt chocolate mud cake with white smooth icing decorated with an abundance of  sugar butterflies, matching the wedding's theme.

Sunshine Coast Bridal Showcase

Today I am excited to be at the Sunshine Coast Bridal Showcase.

Now talking about wedding cakes... here are some delicious cakes that we have made recently.

Chocolate

How have we managed for so long without a post about chocolate?


Like so many others, I love chocolate. Did you know I worked at the Lindt Chocolate Cafe in Sydney for many years before moving to Eumundi? It was a fantastic place to work and learn about the wonderful art of chocolate.

At Fiona's Fancies I love using Lindt chocolate, and we get to show it off in a huge number of delicious treats including...

Introducing some of our suppliers

We have specifically chosen our suppliers to ensure the highest quality in our products. We would like to introduce you to some...

We use and sell Elephant Ridge Coffee in store. It is a farmer direct company that is Australian owned, plus we think the coffee tastes delicious.


Our milk and cream comes from the local Maleny Dairies. We love to use their products because they are wonderfully creamy and full flavoured, perfect to make our vanilla seed custard for the vanilla slices, shown above.


  
We love using Gympie Farm's fresh goats cheese in our quiches and spinach, pumpkin & goats cheese rolls. Camille's French style cheeses are sold just across the road at the Eumundi markets.

Just about all our products use eggs, we always use free range eggs supplied by Suncoast Wholesale Eggs.

2011 - what a busy year

2011 has been a fantastic year for us. We have been so busy creating cakes that we have managed to neglect our blog. Over the next couple of days I will get the chance to upload a number of the cakes and pastries we made this year.
